Simply Rebalanced Economy

Previously included in the Unofficial Fable Patch, this mod rebalances the buy and sell multipliers of shops across Albion to make them fully unexploitable. No more profiting from buying and selling the same stock in a single trade session. Instead of completely overhauling the economy, it aims to be as faithful to the original game as possible, with precise changes to keep the mod lean and minimal.

To install, load the FMP with either ChocolateBox or Fable Explorer, then select `Save changes and run Fable`.

This mod is not compatible with any other mod that alters general shops, wandering traders, and blacksmiths. Compatibility patches will have to be made in these cases (mod authors: please contact me if you'd like me to make a patch for your mod). No other shops were altered.

Why was this removed from the Unofficial Fable Patch?

There is no subtle way to fix the economy. While this was done with the intent of including it in the patch, and thus kept as close to vanilla as possible, significant rebalancing of in-game elements is outside the scope of the UFP, and as such, it is now being provided as a separate mod. While this does fix the economy, it is more of a workaround. The changes, even if agreeable, are still visible, and the patch should not push opinionated gameplay changes onto the community. This is only one of many ways to fix the economy, and it should be up to the players to decide how they want to play, and mod authors ought to have the freedom to establish their own vision in shop-altering mods without conforming to an arbitrary standard.
