Domestic Merchants

Domestic Merchants This mod give the Highest Provincial Trade Power Nation in any trade node a free Merchant, much like you get in vanilla Trade Company regions. Having a powerful Trade Company now gives yearly prestige instead of an extra merchant, so there is no doubling up on merchants. Specifics for the mod: - The nation with the Highest Provincial Trade Power in a Trade Node will be given an extra Merchant. - Powerful Trade Companies no longer give a free Merchant, now giving +0. 2 Yearly Prestige. - Both the current Nation gaining the free Merchant and the current Nation that has the strongest Provincial Trade Power need to be at peace. Why this is good: - Nations owning land that they can't or don't want to Trade Company were previously forced to take Trade Ideas to get enough Merchants to benefit from their own Trade Power. Now they don't need to and are brought on par with the nations like GB who in vanilla can own all of India, Cape of Good Hope and Ivory Coast and up to 7 free Merchants without needing to go Trade Ideas. Known Issues: - Occasionally it might take until January for the modifier to be applied to your nation. This is our failsafe for the modifier sometimes not being applied. Incompatabilities: This mod will be incompatible with any mod that changes Static Modifiers or Trade Nodes.
