As a tractor unit, the Constellation is widely used in medium and long-distance road freight transportation, including operations with double trailers and road trains. Constellation Tractor Unit Models The Constellation line offers several tractor unit models, varying in power, axle configuration and applications. Some of the best-known include: Constellation 19.330, 19.360, 19.380 (4×2): These are 4×2 models ideal for trailers weighing up to 45 tons of PBTC (Gross Combined Weight). They have Cummins engines with power ranging from 330 hp to 380 hp, offering good performance and fuel economy. The cabins can be extended, with a low-roof bed or a high-roof bed. Constellation 25.360, 25.420, 25.460 (6×2): These are tridendum models (6×2) that provide greater load capacity and stability. Recommended for operations with 3-axle trailers and light double trailers. They also feature Cummins engines and manual or automated transmissions (V-Tronic). Constellation 26.420, 33.460 (6×4): These are tridendum and tridendum tractor units (6×4), designed for heavier applications, such as transporting grains, sugarcane and loads that require greater tractive force and load capacity (up to 63 tons of gross vehicle weight for the 26.420). They feature more powerful Cummins engines and robust transmissions. Constellation 33.260 (8×4): This is an 8×4 traction model, generally used in off-road applications or for transporting indivisible and very heavy loads, such as in construction and mining. General Features of the Constellation Tractor: Engine: Mainly Cummins (ISL, ISF) or MAN (D08, D26) engines, depending on the model and year, offering varied power for different transport needs. Transmission: Options of manual (ZF) or automated (V-Tronic) gearboxes, which provide comfort and efficiency. Cabin: The cabins are designed to offer comfort and ergonomics to the driver, with low roof, high roof and bed options, as well as items such as air conditioning, pneumatic seats and multifunctional panels. Technology: Newer models incorporate technologies such as ABS, EBD, ATC, HSA (Hill Start Assist), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), as well as digital panels and connectivity systems. Volkswagen Constellation Tractor in Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) The Volkswagen Constellation is one of the most desired trucks by the Brazilian ETS2 community. Thanks to talented modders, it is possible to drive this iconic truck in the game, with a high level of detail and customization. What to expect from a Constellation Mod for ETS2: Faithful Modeling: Quality mods seek to replicate the Constellation faithfully, both on the exterior and interior of the cabin. Various Configurations: They usually offer several chassis options (4×2, 6×2, 6×4), cabin types (low roof, high roof, bed) and engines/transmissions corresponding to the real models. Realistic Sounds: Many mods come with custom sound packs that imitate the characteristic roar of Cummins or MAN engines, increasing immersion. Extensive Customization: One of the great advantages of Brazilian mods. You can customize your Constellation with: Paints/Skins: Several skins from real and fictional companies. External Accessories: Bumpers, auxiliary headlights, antennas, exhausts, mud flaps, "owls", LED lights and other adornments. Internal Accessories: GPS, PX radios, curtains, stickers, dolls, and other objects to decorate the cabin. Compatibility: It is essential to check the compatibility of the mod with the current version of your ETS2, as the game receives frequent updates. General Installation Steps (if downloading from external links): 1. Download the mod file: It will usually come in .scs format (or compressed in .rar/.zip that needs to be extracted to .scs). 2. Move to the "mod" folder: Copy the `.scs` file(s) to the `Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod` folder. 3. Activate in the Mod Manager: Open ETS2. From the main menu, go to the Mod Manager.
