Description

This mod bumps the lobby player cap from 4 up to 16 so you can run bigger sessions in Escape the Backrooms. It’s an Interpose Pak mod. The host gets a few extra tools for wrangling the lobby and keeping everyone moving once you’re in a level.

Installation instructions

You need to have Interpose Mod Loader installed for this to work.

Main features

• []Max players slider goes from 1 to 16 (mode selection and create-server UI)[/]

  []Lobby player list expanded so you can actually see more than 4 slots[/]

  []Session / game mode max player values patched at runtime[/]

Host tools (F5 menu or hotkeys)

Player collision

  []Host-only: uses the game’s SetIsOverlapOnly so it replicates to other players without them needing the mod[/]

Requirements

• []Interpose Mod Loader must be installed.[/]

  []Host must have the mod installed for lobby limits, host tools, and no-collision to apply.[/]

Clients can join a 16-player lobby without the mod, but only the host can use the menu/hotkeys and control collision.

More than 4 players is still experimental in this game. Crashes and weirdness can happen. That’s the game, not necessarily the mod.

Shout outs

Thanks to Reokin for the original 16p Max Lobby mod. A lot of the ideas here (force spawn loop, player collision toggle, host tools) came from digging through that mod and trying to do the same stuff in pure Lua. Now switched back to a pak mod though.
