It started well, I opened as white with my pawn to E4 and he replied sharply with his own to D6 Moves 3 - 4: After that initial clash I knew one thing for sure, now was not the time to be overly rash, I took control of the centre with my pawn to D4. However he remained unfazed and leapt with his knight to F6 Moves 5 - 6: With the centre under my control I knew it was time to develop my knight and I did so by moving it to C3. I looked expectantly at Hugh knowing the advantage was in my favour, however he made a surprise move with his pawn to G6 Moves 7 - 8: Despite his move I knew he could not be underestimated. I pushed on nonetheless with my bishop towards E3. He apparently liked my idea as he also moved his bishop which sat rather comfortably at G7 Room 2: Orders: Agatha's order: I’ll be partaking in a spot of fish pie. Lucy's order: Lucy, bless her she’s never had a fond relationship with meats. They usually break her out in rashes. I’ll sort her out with something vegetarian, a nice stack of pancakes should be plenty for her to chew on. Hugh's order: Now Hugh didn’t fancy any of the dishes I offered him
