Miscellaneous Tweaks (EML)

Game file format has changed in Update #7

EML has updated (but WIP), simple mods should work. I have not tested all of mine yet.

Do not bother Brabb3l, mod authors or me with update requests, we know about it.

Features:

Since Mods are written in Lua you can easily change values, for most mods I added a config section at the top of the file.

But be careful, invalid or weird values can break the game.

• []No Slope Intro

  Sets all intro durations to zero, only actual loading time should be left.

  []No Slope Slide

  Increases slope angles to remove sliding, and yes, you can walk up mountains.

  []Fast Travel to any Marker

  Enables fast travel to most markers. You should probably use this with caution since it is not intended.

  Also has a setting to never hide markers when zooming out, minimizing them to the small diamond.

  []Unlock Difficulty Settings

  Extends the sliders for the world difficulty, more steps between new lower and upper bounds.

  Internal minimum is 1%, maximum is 100x. Full range and custom values only on servers via "enshrouded_server.json".

  []Recipe Tweaker

  Very basic for now, allows for changing input/output amounts and crafting duration.

  Default config is setup with 50% cost, no clamp, default output and 50% duration.

  The modding scene is still young, we can basically only tweaks existing values.

  I am open for ideas, but researching on how features work and tweak them is not easy.

  How to install Enshrouded Mod Loader

  • []Go to Brabb3l's "GitHub Actions" which builds the EML tools. You need a GitHub Account for downloading!

    []Click the topmost, newest and successful workflow run, indicated by a checkmark✅

    []Download "dinput8.dll (release)"

    []Unpack "dinput8.dll" to the root directory of your Enshrouded installation

    []Create a "mods" folder in the root directory

    How to install EML Mods

    • []Download a EML mod

      []Unzip the mod into the "mods" folder, do not add new folders

      []Verify the the folder strucure matches this pattern

      ../Enshrouded/mods/MOD_NAME/mod.json

      How to install EMM CLI for Servers

      • []Follow first two steps from above, download "emm.exe (release)" instead. Documentation

        []Unpack "emm.exe" to the root directory of your Enshrouded Server installation

        []Create a "mods" folder in the root directory

      • Run this command to apply "patch" mods before starting:
        Note: "--export-directory" is currently always requried, if you want to run "export" mods add "--export" at the end

        emm.exe run --game-directory . --export-directory ./export --patch
