Creative Mode

Build without the grind. Creative Mode adds a creative inventory to Enshrouded, inspired by Minecraft's creative mode and Terraria's Journey Mode: pick any block, piece of furniture, resource, or gear from a catalog, fly around your build, and place, craft, and fight without using up materials.

This version is made for Enshrouded 0. 9 (Steam build 23966345). It will most likely stop working when Enshrouded 1. 0 is released, until an update for 1. 0 is out. On a game version it doesn't know, the mod switches itself off; the Settings tab of the creative menu says the same.

• []Creative menu (Insert): about 2,700 items in seven tabs (Blocks, Furniture, Decor, Workshop, Nature, Resources, Gear), laid out like the Crafting screen, with a category rail and the game's item details. Take 1, 10 or a full stack, or drag items onto your action bars. Drag a stack back onto the catalog to delete it.[/]

  []Gear your way: weapons sorted by type (swords, axes, bows, wands, and more), rings, and armor sets. Take with customization gives a weapon or piece of armor at the level, rarity, and number of upgrades you pick, up to the game's level cap of 50. Take 1 gives the strongest version.[/]

  []Creative or Journey Mode: Creative offers every item. Journey offers only what you have discovered (picked up, used, inspected, or made by a recipe you know), and gear only up to your level, so you can skip gathering without skipping progression.[/]

  []Flight (G): A toggleable flight mode similar to Minecraft's creative flight that allows for much easier building and traversal. Jump to take off, Space to climb, C to sink, Shift to fly fast, and land to walk. A "Flight" line under Rested shows while it's on. You can also use it with the in-game camera item for scenic photos and video recording of your builds.[/]

  []No resource cost: A toggleable setting that makes building, placing, and crafting cost nothing, and keeps arrows, bandages, and other consumables from being used up.[/]

Everything is switched in the creative menu's Settings tab, which also rebinds the menu and flight keys, using the game's own key fields.

I have more additions planned, but they are in the making and will likely be released sometime after Enshrouded 1. 0 is out, once I've updated the mod to be compatible with it.

While the mod is safe to use and doesn't affect your saves beyond the change you make with it, it is always recommended to back up any existing saves, just in case. Saves are usually located at %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Enshrouded or at Program Files\Steam\userdata\YOURSTEAMID\1203620\remote with Steam Cloud enabled.

• []In Steam, right-click Enshrouded, then Manage, then Browse local files.

  Should open Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Enshrouded/[/]

  []Copy dinput8.dll and the creative folder from the download into that folder, next to enshrouded.exe.[/]

  []Start the game, load a world, and press Insert. If the creative menu opens, it is working![/]

  To uninstall again: delete dinput8.dll and the creative folder. The game's files are not changed.
