Moonglasses

Moonglasses are able to highlight living things, items and machines at the same time!

And the best thing - you don't even have to wear them!

1. Features

• []Wear Moonglasses once to highlight living things, items and machines at the same time.

  []Highlighting stays active even after Moonglasses are unequipped.

  []Customization option: you can use Meaning of Life, Perspective or Machine Focus to disable their respective buffs, while other buffs are still active

  []No need for maps - Moonglasses can be found in forge in Bastion. With their own name and description in English!

  []Moonglasses can be now assigned to quick slot - so player can quickly equip/unequip them to reactivate sunglasses buffs after drinking General Remedy.

  [](OPTIONAL) Moonglasses with "range+" are doubling range of all highlighting buffs.

  [](OPTIONAL) Moonglasses with "opacity-" are decreasing by half opacity of highlight effects, turning down coloring, trying while trying to increase immersion.

  2. Installation

  Copy either m__moonglasses_.pak into ELEX2/data/packed directory. Done!

  To verify if mod is installed correctly, go to the Bastion and check out forge. Moonglasses should just lie there, waiting to be picked.

  3. How to use

  Go to the forge in Bastion, pick up Moonglasses, equip them. Done!

  After all 3 sunglasses buffs were activated, you can delete this mod if you want, buffs will stay active as long as you won't wear vanilla sunglasses again or you will drink General Remedy.

  4. Known limitations

  • []Drinking General Remedy cause all highlighting to disappear. It's vanilla game error, can't do anything about it. Just unequip/equip Moonglasses again.

    []If other mods overwrite Elex 2 string table, Moonglasses in-game name and description will be empty or not human readable.

    []If other mods overwrite Elex 2 list of sectors, Moonglasses will not appear in forge in Bastion. It won't have an effect on already picked up Moonglasses.

  5. Uninstallation
  • []Remove m__moonglasses_.pak from ELEX2/data/packed directory.

    []Drink General Remedy to reset all sunglasses buffs.

    []I've followed the instruction to the letter and mods is still not working. Help?

    Check if other mods are not conflicting with Moonglasses. The easier way to do it is to launch game without other mods

    []What version of the game are supported?

    Both Steam and GOG versions should work, as long as they are updated.

    []How can I verify if mod is working?

    Check out whats written under "2. Installation"

    []What to do when this mod doesn't work with some other mod I'm using?In worst case scenario you can activate all 3 buffs with Moonglasses mod, and then uninstall it - they will stay active as long as you won't be using unmodded sunglasses again. Then you can install the other mod and keep using it.

    []After drinking General Remedy all buffs are disappearing! Help!

    Sadly, it's vanilla game bug. Just equip Meaning of Life again. You can assign Meaning of Life to quick use slot to be able to quickly equip them again. Just remember effects are applied when Meaning of Life gets equipped, so if they are already equipped you need to unequip and equip them again (use quick use twice).
