📋 About This Mod
This mod provides a clean regulation.bin file with no effects on it and it will be explained how you yourself can edit your regulation.bin so that you will always get your desired Relics. This mod will also allow you to always get Relics
This guide was made with the information from the user <Bardsonn>.
The file in the <Files> tab is a regulation.bin with all roll weights for all relic effects turned down to 0, so none of these effects can be rolled. Therefore, do NOT put this clean file into your game folder because I do not know what will happen to your save file.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING:
1. Back up your original regulation.bin file (it usually is under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN\Game)
2. Back up your save file (type %appdata% in your search bar bottom left, then go to Roaming and then to Nightreign, there should be a folder with a bunch of numbers and in there is your .sl2 save file - not the BAK file)
How to Edit your own Relics:
1. Download the regulation.bin in the <Files> tab. Then unpack the contents. It doesn't matter where you unpack it.
2. Download Smithbox app here: https://github.com/vawser/Smithbox/releases Make sure to get the latest version. Then unpack the contents. It doesn't matter where you unpack it.
3. After Smithbox is unpacked, right click on the regulation.bin file (that you downloaded), select <Open With> and pick Smithbox app. (refer to the first image if you're confused)
4. When Smithbox opens, click top left on <Project> and <New Project>. Then a small window should pop up. You need to do 3 things here. (refer to the second image if you're confused)
-
[]Project Name: You can name it whatever you want.
[
]Project Type: Elden Ring: Nightreign[]Project Directory: Select the folder where you put the regulation.bin file (that you downloaded).
[]Data Directory: This will have been automatically filled out after you selected the Project Type.
- Select Create and you're done.
6. Under the row where <Project> is located, should be another row that starts with <Texture Viewer>. In that row go to <Param Editor>. Now there should be a lot of stuff on the left side. Under <Common> should be one called <AttachEffectTableParam>, click on that and you will already see the relic effects.
7. In the search bar search for your desired relic effects (e.g. Improved Critical Hits). There will be a lot of them but we only care about the ones that have 100, 200 or 300 at the beginning. Click on it and there should be more new stuff on the right. Look for <Roll Weight (chanceWeight)>. To the right of it there will be two numbers and one will always be 0. Replace that one with 50. Do this for the 100, 200 and 300 versions of your
