Stormtrooper Field Gear - 4 Variants

INSTALLATION

folders: download ModEngine2 here --> https://github.com/soulsmods/ModEngine2/releases

Extract [.rar] file.

Place folder in the 'mod' directory for ModEngine2.

Launch Steam, but do NOT launch Elden Ring from your Steam Library.

Double click the  'launchmod_eldenring.bat' file inside ModEngine2 to launch Elden Ring in Offline Mode.

CHANGING ARMOR FILES

A) For example, if you want the Gold Stormtrooper files to replace the Knight Set(Roundtable Hold) instead of the Astrologer Set, find the numeric heading for the Knight Set here --> https://github.com/MaxTheMiracle/Dark-Souls-3-Parts-Files/blob/master/Elden%20Ring

B) Some armor sets have female variants, often for the "body" piece. The Astrologer Set is a perfect example that only needs the "body" piece changed for the Gold Stormtrooper to fit female characters. To do this:

C) Be aware that some armor sets have an "altered" variant. If your modded armor piece is not showing in-game, check to see if that piece has an "altered" variant. The Samurai starting class uses an altered variant for its Land of Reeds' "body" piece. An example of changing between both versions of the Land of Reeds set is as follows:

"Unaltered" <--> "Altered"

A) Scrolling through the starting class selection menu, modded class armors are slow or fail to show the correct Stormtrooper mesh. To fix this, scroll to an unmodded class that is adjacent in the menu to the one you want to view. For example, if the Stormtrooper mod is not showing for the Samurai class, scroll to the Prisoner class, wait a few seconds, then scroll back to the Samurai class to see the mod.

B) When equipping modded armor pieces in the same slot(e.g. "body"), the newly equipped piece can fail to replace the previously equipped piece. To fix this, any armor piece needs to be removed from its equipment slot, then wait to see the "naked/loincloth" mesh. Finally, equip the armor piece you want to see. Example:

GOLD Body --> DIRTY Body (FAIL)

GOLD Body --> Unmodded Armor (FAIL)

GOLD Body --> "Naked" --> DIRTY Body (SUCCESS)

C) Currently, the Astrologer Set is the best fit for all Stormtrooper variants. There is no clipping/dithering of the 'naked" mesh at the hands nor legs like with other sets. More importantly, modding the Astrologer "head" piece allows you to see your character's head inside the Stormtrooper helmet.
