Respec Freedom

This mod is inspired by Fully Customizable Attributes by Mattsurugii

Do you hate being beholden to the starting class you picked dozens of hours ago when re-rolling your character? I sure do. Why shouldn't we be allowed to respec a starting Bandit into a Str berserker or Int mage without having that 14 Arc staring us in the face for the rest of the playthough, reminding us of the lost min-max potential? It is a "rebirth" after all.

Well now you can!

All this mod does is change the base stats of every class to reflect the minimum values among all the classes. This was done for fairness, to prevent going below what Fromsoft might've deemed the "minimum viable value" for each attribute. If that sounds confusing, it basically shakes out like this...

New! I've also added an alternate version with all stats set to 1 for those who want even more freedom, but don't mind less balance and potentially more jank.

How to use this mod

I included both a regulation.bin and a csv. Install with Mod Engine 2, just drop the reg bin into your "mods" folder. Or merge either file into your own reg bin with Smithbox if using with other mods (there are plenty of tutorials for how to do this on Youtube). However, it is highly recommended to only use this mod with existing characters, as playing a new character with negative level may cause unintended weirdness. This mod is not recommended for use with other mods that alter the starting classes, unless you are very comfortable with editing params.
