Persistent Buffs

This is a DLL mod that keeps your active buffs (incantations, consumables etc.) through death, fast travel, resting at sites of graces and even item swapping (if you have any grease or spell effect applied).

The game normally wipes every active effect on those events no matter how much duration they had left, and what this mod does, is to keep them applied.

• []Buffs persist through fast travel / death / resting[/]

  []Remembers greases and spell buffs per weapon and restores them after weapon swap or changing gear (as long as you equip the same weapon later, it will still have the effect available - only if the buff time has not expired)[/]

  []Buffs can persist even through different game sessions (set "remember_across_sessions = 1" in the .ini file)[/]

  []Physick tears persistence can also be enabled.[/]

  I recommend using my other mod Infinite Weapon Buffs, in order to adjust the duration of all buffs according to your own preferences. The two were designed to complement each other.

  Installation:

  Option #1: ModEngine3 (me3), recommended

  • []Install me3 (me3_installer.exe)[/]

    []Open your ME3 profile folder — paste this into Explorer's address bar and press Enter:

    %localappdata%\garyttierney\me3\config\profiles\eldenring-mods[/]

    []Copy PersistentBuffs.dll and PersistentBuffs.ini into that folder (...\eldenring-mods)[/]

    []Open eldenring-default.me3 with any text editor and add the following lines:[/]

  • []Launch the game through M|E3 as usual.[/]

    Option #2: ModEngine2

    • []Get ModEngine2 and extract it anywhere (NOT into the game folder)[/]

      []Copy PersistentBuffs.dll and PersistentBuffs.ini into the ModEngine2 directory (next to launchmod_eldenring.bat)[/]

      []In config_eldenring.toml, under , register the DLL:

      []Run launchmod_eldenring.bat[/]
