📋 About This Mod
Makes more golden eyed enemies spawn, from 0. 5~1% to 10%. Similar to a rune multiplier, but makes enemies tougher and more rewarding. This is a (future-proof) replacement for this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/3232.
Standard warning about using this mod online, etc, etc
Golden-eyed enemies reward with 5x runes on death. The preset regulation.bin increases your effective rune gain by 40%. Only for enemies that can already appear with golden eyes (see section below if you want everything).
Compatibility
The pre-built regulation.bin is compatible with no other mods. If you want to use this with anything else, you must use MASSEDIT (see below for instructions).
Otherwise, this mod is compatible with all other mods, including mods which adds custom enemies, changes rune drops, etc. AFAIK, spEffectID15 is only used to determine golden-eye chances, and other mods should not be touching this.
How-to: use MASSEDIT files
-
[]Before you do anything, ensure you have a backup of your regulation.bin. This mod is very difficult to revert; although changing all the chances to 1% will be close enough for gameplay purposes, making these changes can still see you banned online. Doing backups is just good practice.
[]Open Smithbox, open your existing project, if you have one. (If you don't have any existing projects, you can find instructions online. A good example is https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/2179.)
[]Go to Param Editor near the top
[]On the right, in Tool Window, open the box for "Mass Edit - Window"
[]Open the MASSEDIT file with any text editor. Copy the contents and paste into the textbox under Input; modify as needed (see below)
[]Hit "Apply". You should see around ~4260 rows modified. That means it worked.
[]File -> Save All
If you want to personalize your experience
These are the IDs for each percentage chance. Change the second parameter of the "replace" command with your preference (e.g. "replace 5261:5269;")
5269 100% (guaranteed)
If you want every NPC to be able to spawn with golden eyes (including bosses), use this instead (replace 5266 as you wish):
param NpcParam: id .*: spEffectID15: = 5266;
