Link - Legend of Zelda Voice Mod

Requirements:

This mod requires the Mod Engine 2 FORK , this makes it possible to inject the sound files.

For the Death and Hurt sounds you must choose Young Voice 1. The attack yells are attached to the weapons themselves, so voice selection does not matter.

This mod adds Link's signature yells and "HYAH!" to some weapon attacks in Elden Ring, as well as hurt and death sounds. I put this together so I could play a personal playthrough with xdec99's Link - Zelda Twilight Princess mods, then figured I might as well upload it here. This is my first mod, so I can't guarantee that I'll continue to keep this updated, but you never know🤷‍♂️. I pulled most of these sounds from the archive here: https://sounds.spriters-resource.com mainly from Twilight Princess and Super Smash Bros Brawl.

INSTALLING:

As mentioned previously, you MUST use the Mod Engine fork, as this provides the ability to inject sound files. I've provided the download here, but otherwise it is installed and run exactly the same as normal Mod Engine.

Next download my LinkVoiceMod files, and put the 'sd' and 'chr' folders inside your 'mod' folder.

There are 3 files which should be structured as follows:

• []ModEngine/mod/chr/c0000.anibnd.dcx <-- This edits some of the animations to prevent doubled sounds, and add some sounds

  []ModEngine/mod/sd/enus/vcmain.bnk <-- This Replaces most Young Voice 1 sounds with Link Hurt and Death sounds

• ModEngine/mod/sd/enus/cs_main.bnk <-- This Replaces and adds yells to the weapon attack swings

  If you prefer to only play with just the weapon attack sounds, or just the hurt/death sounds, you can remove vcmain.bnk or cs_main.bnk respectively.

  Affected Weapons:

  Since I started this intending it to just be for personal use, I focused on the StraightSword moveset, and a handful of Ashes of War that are my favorites to use. Currently the entire StraightSword moveset (a023) should work fine and be polished, without any weirdness, including things like Guard Counters and attacks from horseback.

  However, many of the sounds I replaced are common amongst all weapons, such as Katanas and Greatswords, so some of them DO have Link's yells added, however I did not go through and polish them up, so there may be moves that play 2 voicelines at once, or only 1 yell in an entire 5 move combo. This also applies to the Ashes of War.
