📋 About This Mod
Caps the player at level 1 and adjusts enemy scaling accordingly for a more consistent challenge. Also removes level requirements for Weapons, Spells and incantations, as well as disabling upgrades for weapons and spirit ashes.
When I first played Elden Ring, I loved the combat but didn't like how often my character felt over- or underleveled for areas that I wanted to explore at the moment. I also felt that the game is way too stingy with smithing stones to really upgrade enough weapons to explore different builds.
This mod aims to make Elden Ring a game that's more focused on horizontal progression instead of vertical progression. Your character doesn't get stronger, instead you can experiment with different strategies until you find something to persevere with.
Features:
-
[]Player Character stuck at level 1 (choose your starting class wisely)
[
]All enemies are stuck at level 1 scaling[]Can't upgrade Spirit Ashes
[]Can't upgrade Weapons
[]Removed Level Requirements from Spells, Incantations and Weapons
I made this mod in an afternoon without any prior knowledge on modding FromSoft games, so if you find any oversights please let me know :)
Thank you for checking out my mod!
Since someone asked for a list of the Params the mod changes, here's a list along with the exported csv:
CalcCorrectGraph:
- []200: set init_inclination_soul (leveling cost) to something ridiculous so the player can't level up
-
[]10100 through 10900: change rarity to 0 (Default) - it makes it less disappointing to find these, lol
[
]200000 through 263010: set reinforcePrice to something ridiculous so the player can't upgrade the spirit ashes
-
[]all weapons: set reinforceShopCategory to 0, properStrength + properAgility + properMagic + properFaith + properLuck set to 0
(disables upgrades at weaponsmith and removes level requirements)
- []all sorceries/incantations: requirementIntellect + requirementFaith + requirementLuck set to 0
- []all enemies with a levelscaling spEffect (has any spEffectID between 7000 and 7200): set that spEffectID to 700
-
[]all human NPCs have their level set to 1 and individual stats set to 10 (except Gideon Ofnir - because he uses incredibly strong spells, that can't be easily scaled using his parameters, I set his individual stats to 1 and removed his "Triple Rings of Light" to give the player somewhat of a chance to kill him)
