📋 About This Mod
Fixes co-op ganking to increase challenge, by reducing stagger & crits based on weapon weight/attack.
Description
Do you find ganking in co-op, ruins the challenge & fun?
This mod fixes this issue, by reducing stagger/crits based on weapon & attack weight.
These changes introduce gameplay challenges & dynamics, for your party to explore.
Stagger Changes
• See images for stagger/crits breakdown.
• Generally only slow/heavy attacks stagger, to prevent stunlock.
• Heavy weapons are now a valuable choice for crowd control role in your party.
• Ashes of war still stagger, except light weapons roar attacks (too abusable)
• Most spells don't stagger, except for obvious ones like shockwaves & earth based
• Balanced for 3 player co-op (official max)
Crits Changes
• The opposite of stagger, only light weapons are able to do backstabs & crits.
• Light weapons are now a valuable choice for subterfuge role for your party.
• Note modding backstabs also effected crits, however it's well balanced.
Installation
• Install Seamless Co-Op
• Install Mod-Loader
• Install Smithbox
(2) Hookup modloader to seamless co-op:
• Go to your elden ring install folder (e.g. Steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game)
• Edit "config_eldenring.toml" from above
• In the line "external_dlls = " put full path to seamless co-op dll, with double brackets. e.g. ["C:\\MyFolder\\SeamlessCoop\\ersc.dll"]
• Usually SeamlessCoop folder is in the elden ring game folder, so you can put [".\\SeamlessCoop\\ersc.dll"]
• For advanced users, you can separate mods like this to only seamless co-op, by making copies the .toml, .bat & mod folder, and pointing them to each other.
(3) Install mod
• Load Smithbox, and create a new project to your "mod" folder (if you don't already have one)
• Click "Param Editor" tab at the top
• Select AtkParam_Pc, Data > Import CSV > from file > specific field > dmgLevel, choose the ReducedStagger . CSV file
• Select EquipParamWeapon, same as above but with field "enableThrow", choose the ReducedCrits . CSV file
• Save all, you should now have a regulation.bin in your mod folder
Why isn't there a .bin version?
Sorry, they update elden ring too often, it's a lot of work to keep this updated every time.
Also nobody really uses .bin versions, because you can't mix multiple mods.
Just follow the instructions and import the . CSV like everyone else does.
