📋 About This Mod

Mod merge of Silentverge's FDSR and LindonKlayz's "Beyond Maximum" Additional Visual Options mods. (No Reshade)

Thanks to Silentverge and LindonKlayz for their work with the original mods and also, of course, for the merged mod by Silentverge.

Note: An unequipped weight of 6 was due to a change I made to the regulation.bin to change the unarmed weapon into Dryleaf Arts. It has now been reverted to vanilla

What this mod does is give you really nice shadowcasting and lighting, with none of the original Elden Ring's color filtering. You can expect:

- Darker nights (TM)

- Amazing cast shadows

- Striking mood changes to familiar regions and cutscenes (for example, night time Godrick fight cutscenes, spooky daytime Abyssal Woods)

You can also expect:

- Shadows poppin up (LOTS! Really, it can get very annoying and something that seems almost impossible to work around. Sometimes makes everything too dark.)

- Diminished or unstable framerate (- 15 to 20 FPS between Raytracing on "Maximum" when compared to "Off" on my system, sometimes more!)

- Crashes (very rare and largely from conflicts with other mods)

> This in particular can come about when using the Forced Dynamic Shadows mod (. DLL ) since they synergize, however a reliable crash can be triggered when entering Belurat Gaol that can only be solved (as far as I've tested) by removing the dll.

- Color grading artifacts/effects (some areas like Charos' Hidden Grave or Castle Ensis will have the color effects appear in certain view angles)

How to Install:

- I'm using Mod Engine, so... use that.

> Download the zip

> Unpack the zip

> Move the "param" and "sfx" folders into your "mod" folder (that belongs to the Mod Engine), inside the Elden Ring main ("Game") folder

> Move the "regulation.bin" into the Elden Ring main ("Game") folder (be sure to backup your current one just in case)

If you want to mix this mod with other mods, then go ahead and use Smithbox to do so. Its as complex as whatever has been already changed in your own regulation.bin

Again, this is Silentverge's and LindonKlayz's work. I got their help to put it together. LindonKlay has done some more work on his Beyond Maximum mod which is not reflected here.

Be sure to give these guys some recognition if you piggyback on this mod in the future.
