Custom Lantern

Latest tested version: Elden Ring 1. 16. 2 (Steam version). Tested on 2026/06/27.

The mod (GUI and DLL versions) worked.

Is this mod compatible with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?

It should work, but I can't test, I don't have this DLC.

Description

CustomLantern (DLL version) is the mod itself. You can configure the lantern light in `config.ini`.

How to find the values for the file `config.ini`? I suggest you to use Custom Lantern Tester (GUI tool) for this.

Also, DLL version (and the GUI tool Custom Lantern Tester) may not be compatible with mods that modify the lantern.

If Easy Anti-Cheat is not disabled, the game will crash on launch and you will get an Easy Anti-Cheat error.

Installation of CustomLantern (DLL version)

Notes: You can edit the values of the lantern light in the file config.ini.

If you want to test values in real time without the need to restart the game, you can use the Cheat Engine table or the application Custom Lantern Tester (GUI tool).

Option 1: Installation with Mod Engine 3 Manager

Download and install Mod Engine 3 Manager.

Download CustomLantern in  the Main files section. Make sure to download the latest version, or at least version 1. 3. 0 or higher.

1. Drag and drop the CustomLantern.zip file into Mod Engine 3 Manager.

2. Click on the "Edit configuration" button.

3. Edit the values in the configuration file.

Option 2: Installation with Elden Mod Loader (obsolete but should still work)

Download and install Elden Mod Loader: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/117

Download CustomLantern in the Main files section. Extract the archive content in "Elden Ring\Game\mods\".
