Base Fist is a fist-focused rebalance mod that turns the Caestus into a true hand-to-hand weapon while keeping the normal fist weapon feel. Instead of making fists instantly overpowered, this mod is built to feel like a natural progression weapon: weak but usable early, then stronger as you level and upgrade it.

This mod is meant for players who want a real fist-only playthrough without turning the game into a joke. It still behaves like a regular fist weapon, but its damage, scaling, requirements, visuals, and starting setup have been reworked so it can function like a real build.

What this mod changes

Design goal

The purpose of this mod is simple: make a fist-only run feel like something that could actually exist in the game.

Vanilla unarmed combat is weak and has almost no real progression. Base Fist is designed to keep the feel of a normal fist weapon, but with actual scaling, upgrade progression, and enough damage tuning to make it playable without becoming overpowered.

This means:

  []the weapon grows into a proper build instead of staying useless

Important note

Base Fist replaces the Caestus, so all Caestus instances in the modded game will be changed into Base Fist while the mod is active.

For the intended experience, start a new character with any class and build around Strength, upgrades, and close-range aggression.
