# FC26 Career Mode - Player Scout & Shortlist Generator

A Lua script for FC 26 Live Editor (by Aranaktu / CMTracker.net) that scans the entire player database of your Career Mode save and exports a filtered, sorted list of transfer targets to your Desktop.

Built for managers who are tired of scrolling through the in-game scout window one player at a time.

## Features

- 4 built-in presets for different career situations:

- `WONDERKIDS` - Young top prospects (age ≤21, POT ≥85)

- `TOP_EXPERTS` - Established stars (age ≤30, OVR ≥87)

- `REBUILD` - Lower-league rebuild targets (age ≤22, OVR 62-78, POT ≥78)

- `CUSTOM` - Fully editable filters

- Smart tier suggestion per player (`BUY` / `MIXED` / `LOAN` / `STAR`) based on overall rating

- Interactive HTML output with:

- Live search bar (filter by name, club, tier)

- Click column headers to sort ascending/descending

- Click on a player name to copy it to clipboard (paste into in-game search)

- CSV backup in the same folder (open with Excel/LibreOffice, semicolon delimiter)

- Excludes goalkeepers, your own team, and women's football teams by default (all toggleable)

- Excludes national team links (only club affiliation shown)

## Requirements

- EA Sports FC 26 (PC)

- FC 26 Live Editor by Aranaktu - https://www.patreon.com/Aranaktu (or wherever you got it)

- An active Career Mode save with a managed team

## Installation

1. Download `fc26_shortlist_generator.lua` from the Files tab on this Nexus page.

2. Place it anywhere on your PC. The Live Editor will load it from any path.

That's it. No game files are modified.

## How to use

1. Launch FC 26 and load your Career Mode save.

2. Open the FC 26 Live Editor (default hotkey: `F9`).

3. Open the Lua Engine panel (`Features > Lua Engine`).

4. Click `File > Open` and load `fc26_shortlist_generator.lua`.

5. Edit two lines at the top of the script:

local CURRENT_YEAR = 2025      -- your current career year (check in-game calendar)

local PRESET = "WONDERKIDS"    -- WONDERKIDS, TOP_EXPERTS, REBUILD, or CUSTOM

6. Click Execute.

7. A popup confirms how many players were found. Two files are saved to your Desktop:

- `fc26_targets.html` - open in any browser

- `fc26_targets.csv` - open in Excel

### Recommended workflow

- Keep the HTML open on a second monitor (or `Alt+Tab`).

- In-game: go to Transfer Hub > Search for Player.

- Click a name in the HTML (it's copied to clipboard automatically).

- Paste in the game's search field, select the player, add to Fav
