SILENT Skips The Beast. Hide Skip Hints in DLTB

SILENT Skips The Beast. Hide Skip Hints in DLTB

Absolute cinema! No more annoying skip hints in dialogues and cutscenes!

WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO?

✔ Hides skip hints during dialogues.

✔ Hides skip hints during in-engine cutscenes.

DOES IT REMOVE THE ABILITY TO SKIP?

✅ No! Skip functionality is fully preserved — hints are just invisible.

💡 If you can’t skip a sequence that means it’s intended to be unskippable.

HOW TO INSTALL?

1️⃣  Download the mod archive and extract it.

2️⃣  Move data7.pak to your game folder:

📂 C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light The Beast\ph_ft\source\

HOW IS THIS MOD MADE?

I modified skip_dialog_symbol_pc.gui (data\gui\hud_pc\).

✔ I made skip hints invisible.

HOW TO MERGE WITH OTHER MODS?

Merging in Dying Light The Beast is simple: higher-numbered dataX.pak files take higher priority.

✔ This mod is in data7.pak, so it should work with most mods.

✔ If all dataX.pak slots are in use, merge the .pak files manually using 7-Zip:

1️⃣  Open any of your existing dataX.pak files.

2️⃣  Add the contents of data7.pak to it.

COMPATIBILITY

✔ Works on all game versions, I guess.

✔ Compatible with mods that don’t modify skip_dialog_symbol_pc.gui. (Use WinMerge to compare.)

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD NIGHT AND UNLEASH THE BEAST!

💡 Maybe Techland will let us disable the display of skip prompts in settings someday, and this mod will become unnecessary. But until then — enjoy a cleaner UI!
