  []Added protection against permadeath (a config file dl_coop_settings.ini now generates with ProtectHostSaves=1 this bypasses the permadeath checks. And sets deathcount to 0 allowing respawning without save deletion. If you do want your save to be trashed if either person dies just set it to 0)  [/]

  []Added zombie sync (many thanks to kamzik123 for reference code. Due to the game update I had to look a bit to find it but this made it considerably easier.), If you are too far from the host e.g. the host game doesn't know you killed those zombies it will make them appear for him but not for you, same if a player joins in later, this is an engine limitation as it doesnt know it has to replicate the previously killed zombie data to the other players)[/]

  []Added DebugLogging=0 to config file as well which can be set to 1 for debugging if there are any issues.[/]

  []Rewrote the whole mod and added dynamic signature matching so hopefully it wont break after the next update. Can never be too sure though.[/]

After a ton of decompiling and reverse engineering the engine's session blockades, I've got an early working version of co-op for the Restored Land. The core gameplay is mostly functional once you're connected. hunger and normal coop behaviour works, zombies should mostly sync now as well and permadeath will be selectively disabled (no save game removal).

Make sure you have completed the prologue and reached the point where coop would get unlocked in the base game. But then in restored land. (Your photo mode button should be unlocked)

I recommend removing the mod if you want to play normal dying light.

Installation:

• []Unzip RestoredLandCoop.zip into:[/]

Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light The Beast\ph_ft\work\bin\x64\That will extract the asi and the winhttp.dll (asiLoader) into the game folder. That's it! Launch the game normally through Steam.

How to Connect:

• []Both players must first load into their own Restored Land save from the main menu (hit Continue or select your Restored Land save).[/]

  []Once in-game, open the Pause Menu and use the Online/Friends options to join each other's game.[/]

  []You can also find games through the public matchmaking browser in the pause menu.[/]

What does NOT work (yet):

[*]Steam overlay invites: accepting a Steam invite partially works but has save routing issues (game tries to make you select a save but restored land doesnt have a save selection menu for multiplayer). U
