📋 About This Mod

This mod takes the passive regeneration (that activates when at really low health and only gives you like twenty health) and modifies it to heal you fully, over a longer period of time.

Credit to StygianEmperor for the original mod (that I reverse engineered to make this work) and for allowing me to upload this modified version.

Note that future updates to the game will inevitably break this mod (either in small or large ways), so below are instructions on what parts of files to change to recreate this mod yourself. Also note that it's rather unlikely, but not impossible that a future update will change the files so much that these instructions will not work.

Backup the files this mod changes before installing (and the mod's files if you want to try and change those).

If you want to change something about this mod, or it doesn't work with an updated version, then go into

Dying Light 2\ph\source\data0.pak\scripts

and among a long list of other files, you should find healthdefinitions.scr and healingdefinitions.scr

go into healthdefinitions.scr and use ctrl-f to find the three different lines that include "HealthRegenerationMaxLevel", change them to however high you want (NOTE THAT THESE VALUES ARE PERCENTAGES, NOT THE NUMERICAL AMOUNTS), and save

go into healingdefinitions.scr and change "HealingHps("HealthPerSecondRegeneration")" and "HealingHps("DefaultRegen")" to however fast you want to heal (again, these values are percentages, not numerical amounts), note "HealingMul("DefaultRegenHardMul")" and "HealingMul("DefaultRegenEasyMul")" will change how fast you regenerate based on difficulty, if you don't want such large differences between difficulties, then adjust them to your liking (or just set them to 0. 0 to have it be the same across all difficulties, also anything labeled "Hard" difficulty also affects Nightmare difficulty), then save again.

next go to Dying Light 2\ph\source\data2.pak\scripts\player

you'll find healthdefinitions.scr and four different "player_variables", replace healthdefinitions.scr with the one you already edited from data0.pak. In the "player_variables.scr" you'll find "Param("LowHealthEffectThreshold"" and "Param("HealthRegenerationDelay"", the first one dictates what percentage of health the red low health screen effects start, the second dictates how many seconds after getting damaged until you start to heal.

in both "player_variables_hard" and "player_variables_nightmare" you'll find the lines "Param("HealthCriticalLevel"" and "Param("MaxAutoRegenHealthPercent"", the first one is how low your health has to be to start regenerating (I recommend setting to 0. 99 so you always heal after taking damage), the second one is how much of your health gets healed (I set it to 100 to make me heal fully, but never set it below the "HealthCriticalLevel" or you'll always hear the annoying
