07/12/2026: Updated file. Make sure to edit your AIM keybinding to LMB, and block will automatically switch to LMB
This works for ALL ranged weapons, not just the bows
This is a simple workaround mod that allows you to use right mouse button to aim down sights with both the Bow and Crossbow, and still block with Melee weapons.
One caveat though, you can no longer block while using a Ranged Weapon. (I never blocked while using Ranged weapons anyways, and I'm guessing some others don't either). Blocking with all other weapons is still possible.
This mod edits the file "inputs_keyboard.scr", so expect a conflict if you're using a mod that also edits this file.
(for example: Better Keybindings)
You'll need to remap the keybinding for 'Aiming' once the mod is installed, and set it to 'right mouse button'. Happy Hunting
Place data2.pak in your Dying Light 2 folder: Dying Light 2\ph\source
Rename the data2.pak to whatever suits your needs (data3.pak, data4.pak... etc) if a data2.pak already exists
