Underground Bandit Cove

As the party creeps through the tunnel recently dug out in aims to ambush a group of bandits dwelling in an underground fortification, they blow open a wall to reveal their enemy, suprised and unprepared for this fight, they come to a bloody battle in the main room, an elevator begins to rise from the depths, more enemies seem to have joined the fray hearing the commotion from below. During this time, a insane bandit leader has been preparing his last stand inside, rigging the area with dynamite and preparing to blow everyone who dares to steal his treasure horde, even if it costs his own life. Sending all his men but two out to dispatch the threat, he orders them to push a small naval cannon out to the main door and fire at the approaching enemy and to cut the ropes on the bridge, in an effort to bring their advance to a halt.
