CAMPS: Mercenary Camp

Another in my campsite series! This is a fortified encampment, probably used by either a bandit group or a mercenary company who have temporarily set up shop in the area. It features a larger mess hall tent, several loose collections of squad-circles for friends and squad-members and a larger command tent at the north for the Captain or leader of the company. On the east side of the camp is a series of ditches dug at the outskirts to serve as latrines, and the men and women of the company often gamble away their chores on their off-shift. Latrines is one of the most-dreaded duties to end up on the table...you win, you get out of the duty. You lose, you're stuck with it for the foreseeable future on top of your next shift! The fighting pit in the center is used as a gambling tool, a place to let off steam and a way for the commander to remind her subordinates why SHE is the one in charge. There are several wagons used to plug the holes in the palisade to act as makeshift gates, and if your players are hostile to those inside, they can take a number of different approaches. They can try the front gate, they can try to slip in via the lake, or they can circle around and sneak in via the more lightly defended privy-side of the walls. Either way, this makes for a great map for a more organised but not military armed force!
