1982 Brabham BT49D

Another historic F1 replica, this time from the ground effect era of F1. Brabham BT49 was used in 1979-1982 years and was pretty succesful. It was championship contender almost all the seasons it participated in, bringing Nelson Piquet the title in 1981. In 1982 the car entered its last races in its D spec. Here I implemented it with no front wing - this setup was used when side skirts were not banned and most of the downforce was generated by the car's underbody. These were also the last days of legendary Ford Cosworth DFV engine - the new engine era was coming, the turbo era. Brabham team switched to BT50 powered by BMW turbo engine mid season, and that was the end of BT49's successful history. Edit: forgot to mention, there is a custom camera under the roll hoop, hit F to switch to "driver's" view.
