📋 About This Mod
The workaround you will find in this mod is simple: using some files to translate the game from DX12 to DX11 and then Vulkan, with the asynchronous shader compilation version of a tool called DXVK.
-95% of the stutter is gone.
-Incredibly smooth experience (as it should have been if devs made their job...)
-Vulkan shaders can be saved on Steam (this option needs to be activated on Steam parameters), avoiding them to be compiled from 0 when updating drivers or reinstalling Windows.
-Works with all mods (I have tested many UTOC mods + Reloaded music packs)
-Online works
-As shaders are not compiled on demand or in real time, they are skipped until thet get cached. This makes some textures to be black until loaded. (To be very fair, most skipped shaders are not noticeable at all or are quickly cached).
-I have only noticed two graphical glitches after 2 hours of testing: Hildegart energy bombs and Ribriane Ki waves make some flashy effect.
-It decreases performance on APUs.
INSTALATION:
Copy and paste the files from "Dragon Ball Sparking Zero - Stutter Free mod" inside the root of the game's executable (DRIVE\STEAM FOLDER\DRAGON BALL Sparking! ZERO\SparkingZERO\Binaries\Win64\HERE
I have also made a file that translates only from DX12 to DX11. I have not tested it that much, but it decreases shader compilation stutter compared to DX12, however, it does not make the game as smooth as async Vulkan translation. The instalation process is the same.
Any inquiry, feel free to post it!
