📋 About This Mod

Oh I could talk about shoes all day, but we have things to do, don't we?

— Leliana, 9:30 Dragon

Yes, Leliana, we do indeed. Like stopping a mega-Blight. But how are we expected to do that with our toes out?

Well, worry no more! The Veil Jumpers finally recruited a shoemaker to support Rook on their quest to save Thedas and kiss people (maybe not in that order.)

Each armor is standalone and compatible with the others. Feel free to mix and match or use the all-in-one version.

I did what I could, but due to the current limitations of the modding tools, some minor clipping may occur.

No bundles needed.

Compatible with retextures and recolors (though the shoes won't be affected, as you would expect.)

Compatible with mods that remove parts from these armors through alpha editing.

Compatible with mods that use these armors in mashups.

Not compatible with mods that add or remove parts from these armours through their partblueprints.

If you would like to see something removed, leave a comment, and I'll do my best to fufill the request.

To install, you will need the latest Frosty release by Joell560.

Joel's release is the most up to date and feature complete version of Frosty. It is recommended that you switch to using Joel's Frosty over wavebend's. It is installed and works exactly the same as wavebend's Frosty, with some extra quality of life features and fewer bugs.

Follow this guide by PinkyDude for step by step instructions on the installation and usage of the mod manager.

If you are having trouble with the modding tools, the best place to ask for help is the Veilguard Modding discord. Start by reading our resources in the Troubleshooting section! Also keep in mind that while we are doing our best to help, Veilguard modding is new territory for everyone, and we are still in the process of learning how it all works (or why it sometimes doesn't and how to fix it.)

If you get an error when trying to import the mod into Frosty, you need to unzip the downloaded archive. There are a variety of tools for this. I can recommend 7-Zip, which is free and open source. With 7-Zip installed, you can simply right click the downloaded file and go to 7-Zip -> Extract Here if you want to extract the mod file into the current folder, or 7-Zip -> Extra

Tuck Those Toes adds shoes to the Veil Jumper armors in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, replacing barefoot looks with proper footwear. A small cosmetic mod with 69 endorsements, last updated May 2025, for players who want their character to look more practical in blighted areas.

✨ Key Features

Adds shoes to Veil Jumper armors
Replaces barefoot appearance with footwear
Cosmetic only, no gameplay changes

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solves a real immersion gripe—no more barefoot fighting in blight zones
  • Lightweight cosmetic tweak that doesn't touch stats or balance
  • Decent community pickup (69 endorsements) for a niche fix

⚠️ Cons

  • Only affects Veil Jumper armors—if you don't use those, this mod does nothing for you
  • No screenshots or detailed preview in the description, so you're flying blind on the shoe style
  • Last updated May 2025—might not be compatible with future game patches
🎯 Is This For You?
For Dragon Age: The Veilguard players who love the Veil Jumper armor sets but cringe at the barefoot look. If you're a roleplayer who wants your character to look prepared for blighted terrain, this is a quick fix. Skip if you never wear Veil Jumper gear or prefer full armor overhauls.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have the Veil Jumper armor equipped in-game to see the change—this mod only affects that specific set.
  • If you're using other cosmetic mods for the same armor, load this one last to avoid conflicts.
  • Check the mod page for any required mod manager setup—if it's a simple file drop, just place it in the correct folder.
