Pauldrons Remover - Emmrich

Edits files to remove the pauldrons from Emmrich's classic armor, the Researcher's Robes.

This is NOT a swap/bundle edit and will work just fine with them.

It will not work with recolors of this same armor that are not made compatible - in layman's terms, this mod makes the pauldrons transparent by editing the texture itself, so existing recolors need to be converted.

A file with the edited texture has been included for modmakers to provide compatible recolors. If you request a modder to make a compatible retexture, please respect if they don't wish to do so! I'll also gladly convert existing recolors if the modder gives permission and provides the raw file.

This mod has to be a requirement. Just load your compatible recolor below the pauldron remover.

What this mod does is give the coat's texture an Alpha channel.

I had to edit MeshVariation files for that to be possible, as well other files to fix issues with LODs. That's why it needs to be a requirement if you provide a recolor!

In order to make a compatible recolor, download the resource file and make sure that the Alpha information remains intact. If you break the Alpha channel somehow, the pauldrons will load anyway with a broken texture. The resource includes a tutorial on how to convert existing recolors.
