📋 About This Mod
Various settings to make your photo mode experience more seamless. Compatible with Better Photo Mode.
Various settings to cut down on the amount of fiddling needed each time you enter photo mode. Available as separate files for you to pick and choose from or as an all-in-one package.
- No camera orbiting
- Depth of Field off by default
- Vignette off by default
- Hide Enemies by default
- Hide NPCs by default
- Hide Party by default
Most of these are pretty self-explanatory except perhaps the first option.
The first setting in the photo mode menu is whether to use an oribiting or free camera. Well, I never use the former, even though it's the default. What I do use are the WASD keys to move around the free camera, which will, incidentally, also toggle between the two camera modes if I accidentally leave the cursor on the setting and release my right mouse button too early, ruining my carefully positioned shot.
So, I went in and got rid of the orbiting option. It's free cam all day every day now.
Compatible and recommended to be used with Better Photo Mode by Aether.
To install, you will need the latest Frosty release by Joell560.
Joel's release is the most up to date and feature complete version of Frosty. It is recommended that you switch to using Joel's Frosty over wavebend's. It is installed and works exactly the same as wavebend's Frosty, with some extra quality of life features and fewer bugs.
Follow this guide by PinkyDude for step by step instructions on the installation and usage of the mod manager.
If you are having trouble with the modding tools, the best place to ask for help is the Veilguard Modding discord. Start by reading our resources in the Troubleshooting section! Also keep in mind that while we are doing our best to help, Veilguard modding is new territory for everyone, and we are still in the process of learning how it all works (or why it sometimes doesn't and how to fix it.)
If you get an error when trying to import the mod into Frosty, you need to unzip the downloaded archive. There are a variety of tools for this. I can recommend 7-Zip, which is free and open source. With 7-Zip installed, you can simply right click the downloaded file and go to 7-Zip -> Extract Here if you want to extract the mod file into the current folder, or 7-Zip -> Extract Files... if you want to specify a different destination folder.
The Frosty Tool Suite team for the editor and mod manager.
wavebend for the original Veilguard fork.
Joell560 for the Frosty updates and his work within the DAV modding community.
