- Rebel's Mantle (2 options)
- Footsoldiers Armaments (Arlathan)
- might add more at some point
- I will upload the separate files when I have time done!
- My Warden Commoner Mesh Swap mod has a Grey Warden recolor of that armor as well (the blue shirt one... obviously), in case you're interested.
- If you dislike the cloak on the Battle Robes I uploaded a quick edit that takes it off along with the bags! You can use it with any recolor.
for more detailed screenshots look in the images tab :3
please note that the screenshots in the images tab have the brightness turned waaaay up
because I took them while I was using my 'old and blind' settings without thinnking about it
and I can't be bothered re-do all of them. These previews below are a more "normal" brightness lol
armor version/options comparisons (use only one, they're in the pick-and-choose version):
Grey Wardrobe is a compact cosmetic mod that adds 18 retextures and recolors of existing armors to give them a Grey Warden theme. It's for Dragon Age: Origins players who want more visual variety for their Wardens without new meshes. With 110 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but appreciated addition.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 110 endorsements and over 2,000 downloads.
- Lightweight and purely cosmetic—no gameplay changes to worry about.
- Recently updated, so it's likely compatible with current game versions.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 18 armors covered—might not include your favorite set.
- No screenshots or detailed previews in the description, so you're flying blind.
- Relies on existing armor meshes, so it won't fix clipping or other mesh issues.
For Dragon Age: Origins players who want their Grey Wardens to look the part without overhauling the whole game. If you're a roleplayer or just tired of the default Warden armor, this is a quick visual fix. Skip if you want new armor models or gameplay changes—this is purely a recolor mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this is a retexture mod, make sure it loads after any mods that alter the same armor meshes to avoid conflicts.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or DAO ModManager to easily enable/disable and track your mods.
- Check the mod's comment section for user screenshots—often more helpful than the description.
