Wesleys Ring

This is my very first mod published on the Nexus, and I've tried to make sure that there are absolutely no problems whatsoever and that the instructions are clear, but if there are problems with anything please let me know so I can fix them ASAP!

There are a million other item and armor mods out there, but ever since I saw the unused 'Wesley's Ring' in the DA2 game files, I've wanted a useful and usable version for Aveline.

Some players really do enjoy roleplaying within their game, and so I wanted to make something both useful in general and fun for roleplaying. I tried to tailor the stats to be decent but not game-breaking, and designed it to supplement Aveline's sword-and-shield tank role.

INSTALLATION:

I've included several installation options for the best possible compatibility and convenience.

METHOD 1: [ NEW GAME VERSION ] Place 'Wesley's Ring.erf' in your overrides folder. Start a new game. Aveline will join you already equipped with the item.

METHOD 2: [ ADD VIA CONSOLE VERSION ] Place 'Wesley's Ring.erf' in your overrides folder. At any point during gameplay, activate the developer console. If you are already using VADDI, then typing 'runscript vaddi wes' will bring up a container with the item for you to take. If you do not use VADDI, type 'runscript wesring' to have the item spawn in your inventory.

• METHOD 3: [ QUEST 'REWARD' VERSION ]
• ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE ALREADY STARTED A GAME BUT HAVE NOT YET REACHED KIRKWALL.

Place 'Wesley's Ring.erf' in your overrides folder, along with the optional 'rewards_wesring.gda' file. The item will appear in your inventory when you arrive at Kirkwall. You should remove 'rewards_wesring.gda' from your overrides folder after obtaining the item to avoid receiving duplicate copies if you plan to start a new game in the future.

REQUIREMENTS / COMPATIBILITY / ETC

There are no additional required files for this one to work, and it should be compatible with almost everything. VADDI is required for the VADDI installation method, but that's entirely optional. There are two rare instances that may result in conflicts, and those are:

If a mod alters 'gen00fl_aveline.utc', then Installation Method 1 will probably not work for you, but methods 2 and 3 should still be fine.
