📋 About This Mod

There are a number of Mage spells and upgrades which I feel are a bit weak, mostly with regards to the probability their effects trigger on enemies. Thus, most of the changes in this mod increase the probability of \"chance to trigger\" effects, but also include a few slight changes to damage, durations and cooldowns. If you wish to use this mod with my other mod, Ability Restrictions Removal, there is a version that contains both sets of changes in the same abi_base.gda file. If you have any problems or would like to give feedback on my changes, please do leave a comment. Extract abi_base.gda (and abi_seb.gda if you are using the combined version) into: C:\\Users\\\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2\\packages\\core\\override -Winter\'s Blast- BRITTLE chance: increased from 40% vs. frozen targets to 80% vs. frozen targets There are only 3 spells capable of causing BRITTLE, and 2 of them: the Ice spells, have ridiculously low BRITTLE chances without Elemental Mastery. This change aims to make Ice spells less dependent on Elemental Mastery to establish BRITTLE combos. -Deep Freeze- BRITTLE chance: increased from 20% vs. frozen targets to 60% vs. frozen targets Same idea as the change to Winter\'s Blast. In this case the BRITTLE chance is almost negligible without Elemental Mastery considering you also have to go through a Freeze chance first. -Fireball- Fire damage: increased from 8 to 11 Fireball\'s damage is absolutely pathetic compared to other Elemental and Primal spells, especially considering it\'s utility is limited in Nightmare due to friendly fire. What I did here is increase Fireball\'s damage so it is equal to a single fireball from Apocalyptic Firestorm. It still seems a bit low to me, but I\'ll leave that for you to judge. -Virulent Walking Bomb- Walking Bomb infection chance: increased from 20% vs. nearby targets to 50% vs. nearby targets Really, does anyone get Virulent Walking Bomb for its infection chance? It seems like the only reason you would get it is for the damage increase with DISORIENT. -Barrier- Cooldown: decreased from 45s to 35s Considering Barrier\'s short duration, I really don\'t think it needs such a long cooldown. -Crushing Prison- Enemy attack speed penalty chance: increased from 40% vs. normal enemies to 80% vs. normal enemies Enemy movement speed penalty chance: increased from 40% vs. normal enemies to 80% vs. normal enemies The chance of Crushing Prison\'s speed penalty kicking in is far too low, and this is just against Normals. Against Elites and Bosses the penalty probably may as well not exist. -Misdirection Hex- Duration: increased from 10s to 15s Cost: decreased from 25 mana to 20 mana IMO Misdirection Hex and Hex of Torment are about equal, and considering Misdirection Hex requires Hex of Torment as well as Horror, i
