Practical Merrill Wear (Romance)

Ever wonder why Merrill's cute little Dalish outfit spontaneously turns into a shiny magical girl suit after the first date with Hawke? Not anymore! This mod simplifies her romance armor into a design that's a bit more stylish, better streamlined, and much more suitable for combat and everything else.

Details: -Merrill's breastplate has been entirely resculpted by hand for full armor coverage, and is no longer molded to her chest. Now it will (hopefully) resist the slings and arrows of Kirkwall ruffians. Mortal wounds aren't really as fun as they look. -Her shoulder pads have been reduced and the knee and elbow pads are gone entirely. Debatably helpful, definitely weird - her outfit is a bit better without them. -The cloth around her legs has been simplified to give her a greater range of motion, rather than looking like a pencil skirt. The front cloth piece is trimmed down and the back cloth piece is removed. The side pieces are the exact same, though, because they were actually decent. -No retextures included - feel free to make your own or download one. You can use two Merrill outfit mods at once this way, one for the armor design, one for the armor texture. The possibilities are endless, basically.

Notes: As stated, this mod is compatible with any and all retextures/recolors for Merrill's romance outfit! It also won't interfere at all with anything changing her base outfit. Do note, though, that It's not compatible with mods that replace the actual romance armor structure (the mesh).  This mod takes away some unnecessary extra accessories on her outfit, like the shoulder/elbow/knee pads, but if you want those back along with the practical chestpiece redesign, just drop me a note and I'll do my best to send you a custom version. Donations would be politely requested if you do this, though. If you want to make a retexture for this yourself, go ahead! Please let me know - we can do a co-release of the texture. You're also free to include this outfit mesh alongside your texture release, if you give full credit to me and link back to the original mod page. I'm not picky, I'd just like you to be considerate. Extra-important note: if you're interested in editing this armor mesh and releasing a different version of it, you absolutely must credit me. This is non-negotiable. Although you're not required to ask first, I will notice if you post it without credit. I put a lot of hard work into this mesh, and I want to make it available as a modder's resource for anyone wanting to improve Merrill's gear. But, you know, I don't work for free. (Just kidding, I totally do. I'm a modder. We all do. But please be kind and credit me wherever you use my stuff.)
