📋 About This Mod
This mod functions as a fixed/patched/updated alternative to probablewitch’s ‘No Points In Requirements - Ability Tweaks’ (www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3959) and bignickm27’s ‘Removes Points in Tree Requirements’ (www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/2471).
While these two mods do remove the points requirements, they both also revert the balancing changes to talents and spells introduced by patch 1. 03. Therefore I made this mod for myself with the correct values and have decided to upload it here in case anyone else would like to use it.
Tested and working in my own game which is patched to the latest version 1. 04. Works on both new games and existing saves.
(Edit: Thanks to GreyWarden00 for pointing out an unintentional bug. This has now been fixed.)
Conflicts and Compatibility:
You do not need and should not use the two mods mentioned above if you are using my mod.
This mod WILL conflict with any other mod that makes edits to individual talents and spells (e.g. changes to damage, cost, diameter, cooldown, level requirements, ability prerequisites, etc.) within abi_base.gda or abi_patch.gda.
This mod WILL NOT conflict with mods that add multiclassing options or change which skill trees are available to characters.
Required Mods:
BASE GAME =
Removes points requirements from all Rogue, Warrior and Mage trees as well as specialization trees.
Also removes points requirements from base game companion specialization trees (e.g. Aveline’s Guardian tree, etc.)
MARK OF THE ASSASSIN =
Removes points requirements from Tallis’ Infiltrator specialization tree only.
Not required if you do not have the Mark of the Assassin DLC.
THE EXILED PRINCE =
Removes points requirements from Sebastian’s Royal Archer specialization tree only.
Not required if you do not have The Exiled Prince DLC.
(So if you have the base game and both DLCs you should download all three files.)
Installation:
Unzip and move the downloaded files

into your ‘Documents\BioWare\DragonAge 2\packages\core\override’ folder.
Uninstallation:
Delete the downloaded files

abi_seb_nopointreqs_1. 03patched.gda
from your ‘Documents\BioWare\DragonAge 2\packages\core\override’ folder.
This mod removes the point investment requirements in talent and spell trees, allowing you to unlock any ability or upgrade without spending points in that tree. It preserves the changes from patch 1.03, making it a straightforward quality-of-life tweak for players who want more freedom in character builds.
