Behold! Another mod from me appears well after the sequel has already been released! Better late than never, right? Anyway.

Description:

Sick of seeing ability trees that you never quite get enough specialty and talent points to unlock?  Tired of having to put points into constitution for survival when you're trying to reach the point requirement for that shiny new weapon?  This mod might be for you.

This mod changes the specialty, talent, and/or attribute points awarded at level up.  While most of the experience mods for this game focus on the number of experience points required to level up, this mod leaves level speed as-is.  Since enemy difficulty scales with the player level, making it easier to reach higher levels makes the game more challenging.  I thought some people might enjoy simply reaping greater rewards from their hard-earned EXP.

There are several versions of the mod - the base version changes it so 1 specialty point is awarded every 7 levels (rather than being awarded only at levels 7 and 14).  This change is included in all other versions.  The versions can affect the difficulty and balance of the game to varying degrees, so choose the one that best fits how you would like to play.

The "Attribute - Every" version gives you 5 attribute points per level instead of the original 3.  There are also versions that will give you 5 points instead of 3 every 3 or 5 levels.

The "Talent - Every 3" and "Talent - Every 5" versions give you one extra talent point every 3 or 5 levels (depending on the version you choose).

"Attribute - Every & Talent - Every 3" and "Attribute - Every & Talent - Every 5" give you the 5 attribute points per level as well as 1 extra talent point every 3 or 5 levels.

"Attribute - Every 3/5 & Talent - Every 3/5" will, as you can probably guess by now, give you 5 attribute points ever 3/5 levels as well as an extra talent point every 3/5 levels.

Installation:

Unzip and move the folder named after the version of your choice (ONLY ONE OF THEM) to your Override folder.  The folder names should be easy to choose from based on the description.  If not (or you have any other questions, or want some other combination of points than I've included, or want a version that also modifies leveling speed), let me know.

UPDATE: If you're having trouble getting it to work, go into the mod file in your override folder and rename exptable.gda to exptable_rebalance.gda - some versions of the game may not read the mod properly otherwise (not sure what causes this).

Compatibility:

Only for use on a NEW GAME.  The exp tables do not like to be modified on an existing save.  Sorry.
