I have completely redone this mod!
Using assets from Dragon Age: Inquisition, this mod replaces the textures for Merrill's armour, giving it a sharper, higher quality appearance.
As of this update, this mod now includes:

[]Retexture of Merrill's default outfit (now with smoother hands, too)

]Retexture of Merrill's romanced outfit[]Headmorph so Merrill more closely resembles her appearance in DA:O (AKA un-whitewashed), while still retaining some of DA:2's vanilla traits (i.e. her unique vallaslin, green eyes and lessened makeup)

Edit 28-Mar-2017:
Added a requested optional version with leather patches instead of bare skin. Fixed the issue with the weird lighting on the belt on the main version.
INSTALLATION:
Extract the .erf file of your choice and place it in your Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override folder. To deinstall, simply remove it.
COMPATIBILITY:
This mod is not compatible with any other mods that change Merrill's armours.
The version including the headmorph is not compatible with any other mods that change Merrill's appearance.
Merrill's headmorph uses a modified version of Ellise's Unique Face Textures for Companions mod.
