📋 About This Mod

Inspired by SerdnaOdraude's A Tale of Orzammar DLC Update, I decided to fix some other issues for this lesser-known adventure.

A Tale of Orzammar was a short, uncomplicated adventure serving as a showcase for the toolset's possibilities, published in cooperation with PCGamer around the time of Dragon Age: Origins release. As a showcase, it wasn't really fleshed out or particularly detailed, but is still something nice to play as its story is connected to the lore of Orzammar.

SerdnaOdraude's  A Tale of Orzammar DLC Update is a mod that enhances and improves the experiences in it, the only downside is Serdna decided not to use vanilla assets, as this creates a problem for users who don't have certain texture mods/items installed. But it's possible to deal with it by refraining from using at least some of the .utc files from that mod, so that one can enjoy that mod's improvements, yet with vanilla items equipped.

But some details have still remained unfixed, my mod is about those. Except for one .utc file, it is compatible with Serdna's mod. My .utc uses vanilla items. The link to the original adventure by Bioware:  A Tale of Orzammar.

Changes:

1. 1: As this update edits things related to the latter part of the module, it's adviced not to read the spoiler details in case of having not played A Tale of Orzammar at least once

- in the thaig chamber, after progressing into the room, a cutscene plays out. The cutscene could be triggered again and again if the player runs through the same spot in the location once more. Fixed

- restored and fixed an alternative finale to the module in case the player didn't recruit any follower. It was an option, but Bioware didn't finish it. In vanilla, if the player doesn't have a follower, the ending can be quite unimmersive. Spoilers related to the ending.

Even without recruiting anyone earlier, the betrayal cutscene still makes Orson appear behind us, which can look bizarre if he wasn't taken to the thaig. Perhaps he had invisibility on and was waiting in the tomb. It would be easier explained than the fact how he was there before the player. Seriously, it just had to be fixed.

So, Bioware had an alternative outcome, ready to be implemented completely. If the player is solo and turns down Bhelen, he summons reinforcements. His lackey, Frandlin Ivo is also back - for he appears in the main campaign later. This ending is similar, but this time the player fights bravely and gets overwhelmed by Bhelen, Ivo and two summoned warriors.

- restored the final journal entry if the player went solo to the thaig, it was inaccessible

- fixed some inconsistencies
