Description:
Bioware's penchant for non-guaranteed unique item drops is especially irritating in two instances.
Defeating Gaxkang will always give the Keening Blade as a reward... but he may (or may not) also drop the coveted Fade Wall shield.
Likewise, the guaranteed loot from Sophia Dryden will always be the Warden commander massive armour, with a chance of the drop including either or both the Warden Tower shield and a Grey Warden Longsword.
Life is too short, and RNG is too... random; I made sure that Gaxkang and Sophia will always cough up the goodies.
Installation:
Place the tsm_no_RNG folder into your override directory (usually \My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override).
To Uninstall:
Delete the tsm_no_RNG folder.
Known Issues:
Will conflict with any other mod editing the following files:
litecr_multi_gax_demon.utc
gwb110cr_sophia.utc
Must be installed prior to entering the affected areas... my test saves were directly outside Gaxkang's hovel, and with the Soldier's Peak map having not been entered at all.
And of course the Sophia Dryden edit requires the Warden's Keep DLC.
If you'd ever fought Gaxkang over and over and over and over with no Fade Wall drop, you'd make a mod like this, too.
