Lorelei in Denerim

Lorelei is an NPC in Dragon Age: The Veilguard who serves as the merchant for the Shadow Dragons faction. She's a city elf originally from Denerim's alienage who was taken by slavers during the events of DA:O, which is why she's in Minrathous 20 years later. She's also very cool! This mod replaces one of the ambient NPCs in the City Elf origin with her as a little cameo.

Lorelei's appearance is intended as a younger version of her Veilguard appearance: slightly darker hair, less wrinkles and no scar, and a different hairstyle. She only uses vanilla assets, so no other mods are needed for her, but she may look out of place if you have tmp7704's Elf Update installed. Lorelei shouldn't appear in the alienage when you return during the Landsmeet questline, since she was taken away before the Warden could intervene, and the two alienage maps seem to use different sets of ambient NPCs. However, I'll admit that I haven't done a full playthrough with this mod installed, so I can't guarantee Lorelei won't pop up elsewhere and Break The Immersion. If this happens, let me know and I'll take a look at fixing it!

This mod conflicts with anything altering the file bec100cr_ambient_f_2.utc, which I don't think is many if any mods. To install, unzip the file into your override folder.

Currently, Lorelei has her own nametag when highlighted and some inventory tweaks. For now, she uses the vanilla dialogue assigned to the ambient elf woman she replaces. However, I might eventually add some new ambient dialogue for her if I can find some good clips that don't feel out of place. If I do, I'll update the mod! An Elf Update version also isn't off the table if there's demand for it- I would just have to install Elf Update and figure out how to make a morph with it in the toolset… which might take some time! In the meantime, hope you enjoy!
