Kivito's YADAM - English Text Patch

I'm a huge fan of drdrummie's Kivito's YADAM. The areas and quests are great, but the English sometimes made it hard to follow the story or know what to do next. This patch fixes the text. Uploaded with drdrummie's permission.

What's changed

• []Player dialogue lines rewritten into clearer, more natural English[/]

  []Journal, codex and item texts rewritten, using Dragon Age terms (sovereigns, the Maker, thaig and so on)[/]

  []The journal now tells you where to go and what to do next, using only information the game already gives you. For example, after The Escape it tells you to bring the items from the hidden chamber to Dinko at the Outer Fort, a spot where many players got stuck.[/]

  What's NOT changed

  • []The voiced NPC lines: only punctuation and capitalization were fixed, so the subtitles still match the audio word for word[/]

    []The story, characters, names, quests and all of drdrummie's jokes[/]

    []Scripts, areas and audio: only the text table is replaced[/]

    Installation

    • []Install Kivito's YADAM 1. 02 first[/]

      []Back up this file: Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\yad\module\data\yad_module.erf[/]

      []Extract the zip into Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\ and let it overwrite[/]

      Uninstall

      Put your backup of yad_module.erf back, or reinstall the original mod.

      Compatibility

      Only for Kivito's YADAM version 1. 02, because it replaces that version's yad_module.erf. English only.

      All credit for the mod goes to drdrummie. This patch only improves the English text.
