About:

This mod makes minor edits and fixes to JX - Dragon Age Extended mod by Offkorn. Improves stability and functionality by addressing key issues with sustained abilities causing crashes on area/zone changes and edits to the final fantasy addon, such as changes to how potions and job switching are handled.

• []Crash Fix for Talent Abilities: Resolved an issue that caused crashes when using sustained abilities during area transitions or cutscenes. Edit applied in talent_aoe_duration.ncs and rules_core.ncs.[/]

• []Item Script Adjustment: Removed the requirement for characters to be Chemists in order to use potions. Edit applied in item_singletarget.ncs.[/]

• []Combat Job Switching: Allowed job switching during combat by removing restrictions that previously blocked its use. This change enables both you and your AI companions to switch jobs mid fight, gaining job points (JP) and strategic combat switching. Edit applied in utility_abilities_fft.ncs.[/]

• []AI Tactics for Job Switching: Enabled job switching through AI tactics, allowing jobs to automatically re-enable after deaths or shapeshifting without manual intervention. Modified the abi_base_jxmod.gda file by changing the "showintactics" value from 0 to 1 for job switching abilities.[/]

  []Crash fix for Importing characters: Fixed issues with importing characters into Awakening or other campaigns crashing the game. Also fixes crashes when changing areas while certain sustained abilities are active during area transition. Edit in effect_upkeep_h_ct.nss and compiled into rules_core.ncs.[/]

  []Fixed various mage checks throughout the game: Abilities from Warden's Keep DLC were not being assigned properly. Also fixes incompatibility with "Dalish Mage is a Real Mage" mod and more. README has info for other fixes.[/]

  Installation:

  Place the folder in your Dragon Age Origins override folder. Make sure this folder is below zz_JX Resources from the original mod or just replace the files.

  C:\Users\USER_NAME\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

  Compatibility:

  JX - Dragon Age Extended original mod makes changes to the core game files, so any mod also using these files will not be compatible.

  If you do have conflicting files you'll have to choose which files take priority based on load order. Aka Place these files/folder below the original files/folder when it comes to folder structure.
