Howe final dialogue Human Noble change

Description

As it turns out, there are two slightly different versions of the dialogue with Howe during Rescue the Queen that can play for Human Noble. They have the same opening line, but then in the first version Howe says "I thought Loghain made it clear that your pathetic family is gone and forgotten.", your first response to that is "You won't forget. Their memory drove me to you." and if you choose this one, you'll get a very Howe-bastard-like description of what happened to your family.

However, in the second version after opening line Howe says "I never thought you'd be fool enough to turn up here. But then I never thought you'd live, either." and your first available response is "Glad to disappoint you. It won't be the last time." Howe then asks if it's still about you're family and says that he's done more that wipe your name from Ferelden memory.

So, what decides which version plays out? Apparently it depends on whether you "confronted" Howe at the very beginning of Landsmeet quest, when you first arrive at Eamon's estate in Denerim during conversation with Loghain, Cauthrien and Howe. "Confronted" means whatever you said anything about him murdering your family or even that you're a Cousland and a teyrn of Highever. If you do confront him, then the second version plays out, if not, then the first one. It seems to be a bug cause it makes much more sense the other way around. So I made a simple change in plot flags about Howe being confronted and voilà - now the first version will play out with Howe confronted and the second with not confronted.

Installation

Extract downloaded files and put them in your override folder - usually it's in (My)documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/override. If you don't have override folder, you can simply created in the core folder.

Uninstallation

Simply remove filed from your override folder.

Compatibility

This mod changes den511_howe.dlb and den511_howe.dlg so it's not compatible with any mods that change the same files (conversation with Howe during Rescue the Queen).

It's a small change but I hope it will make a Human Noble playthrough slightly better for at least some of you. It haven't run into any problems with this mod with neither male or female HN, but if you notice something's wrong, let me know and I'll see what I can do about it.
