📋 About This Mod
A tanking set for warriors in DA:O. I\'ve played through this game several times, and my personal favorite experiences have been playing as a warrior with weapon and shield primary talents. Most of the high-level plate armor, however, seems designed for warriors in general, and there does not seem to be a single set of armor created with tanking solely in mind. Many pieces from good sets have damage stats on them, and so building an ideal tanking set means mixing and matching from other sets and forgoing a set bonus. This mod attempts to remedy that with a set of armor, weapons, and accessories intended for tanking. I tried to include useful stats on the items while not making them overpowered, and on nightmare setting it seems to be balanced quite nicely for the last 1/3 or so of the game. INSTALLATION Open the daupdater, click \"Select DAZips\", find the file in your download folder (or where ever you send your downloads to), the click \"Install Selected\". POTENTIAL ISSUES If you are planning on using these items following the creation of a new character, you will have to first UNCHECK the box in the DLC tab, then create your character, save and exit the game, launch the game, enable it in the DLC tab, and then load your new game. This is because of how the script adds the items to the game world. Additionally, if you are starting the Dwarf noble story, wait until after you meet up with Duncan in Ostagar to enable the addon. Otherwise you will not get the items back after your inventory is cleared. Also, before you reach the point in the story where you are taken captive, create a backup save, disable the addon, and enable it again after you re-aquire your gear, because there is a bug that exists that may prevent these items from appearing in the chest. THE HERITAGE ARMOR SET The Heritage armor set is my rather weak attempt at making a lore-related set with some interesting background. This information can be found in the item description. I hope it adds to your play experience, and I apologize for any contradictions or inaccuracies that detract. This set is modeled after the Legion of the Dead set, which I found the most aesthetically appealing, but unfortunately, one of the least desirable to use due to the high fatigue penalty. Please overlook the fact that Grey Wardens would not have worn this armor :P Here are the stats for each piece: Heritage Faceguard (Dragonbone) Massive Helmet Dragonbone (Tier 7) Requires: 38 Strength Armor: 3. 13 Fatigue: 2. 92% +3 to all attributes +10 mental resistance +10% spirit resistance Note: If you tend to avoid equipping helmets because they obstruct your view of your character\'s face, please check out Yonline\'s \"No Helmet Hack\" here: http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=202 Heritage Gauntlets (Dragonbone) Massive gloves Dragonbone (Tier 7) Requires: 42 Strength Armor: 3. 13 Fatigue: 3. 90 +2 armor penetration +4 attack +2 strength
