📋 About This Mod

Description Ever run into those poor elves in Lothering and think "gosh, I wish could give them some money instead of just telling them the bandits are gone"? Well, guess what, that's an actual option in the game. The game is supposed to check if your PC has 50 silver, and if you do, you can offer it to the family. However, Bioware botched this check by looking for 10 coppers instead and attempting to convert it to 50 silver.

(I'm not 100% certain how Bioware messed up this calculation actually. All I know is that the check fails)

So all this mod does is rewrite this check to actually look for 50 silver. Which if you have, you're golden. This also opens a bit more dialogue as well. You can give the family money And tell them that you got rid of the bandits, making their day twice as great. So be sure to enjoy that.

Instructions Just download. unzip. and throw the folder into your '/Dragona Age/packages/core/override' folder

Conflicts I only changed  the 'lot100pt_robbed.ncs' file. Which is a tiny file as it is. It is highly unlikely that it conflicts with anything.

  • If you use a mod manager like DAO Modmanager, you can install it there for easier management.
  • Load order shouldn't matter for a simple override, but if you have other mods touching Lothering, test after installing.
