📋 About This Mod
Modesty is a great virtue. 0mnomnom is an example of it, as I got a privilege of acting as the publisher of this mod. I tweaked one thing only - the child character who's watching the soldiers form up. 0mnomnom had changed him to a different character, an elven girl. Explainable, because that character is such in the game files. But I wanted to keep it purely vanilla, a human boy that is - so it's the same like the pre-rendered introduction.
1. 1 - I made the mod localised, so the subtitles match each supported language. On @DasStimmvieh's request.
1. 2 - @N7HardroreX mentioned a difference between the .bik lighting and shadows and the in-game version.
Cinematic Vanilla uses the original intro's effects. From now on, there are two versions to choose from - the original, 1. 1, uses the same lighting you see during the gameplay. And 1. 2, with a more cinematic feel of the default Bink movie.
As you can see in the screenshots - it works, the heraldry from my Lore Friendly Cousland Guard Shield in action - it's going to work for any mod you use. 0mnomnon's attention to details resulted in solving a certain issue with the default intro - the elven servant look-alikes. Now each civillian character looks differently.
This is a breakthrough when it comes to the pre-rendered cutscenes, and a great step to make all of them rendered in-game. It's an ambitious task ahead, but it only makes it worth pursuing. For Dragon Age: Origins and its loyal players.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Finally, your modded gear shows up in the intro—no more jarring switch from cinematic to gameplay.
- Community-approved with 139 endorsements and over 5k downloads, so it's proven to work for many.
- A unique mod that fills a niche no other mod does, making the origin feel more immersive.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects the Human Noble origin, so other origins still use the old cinematic.
- Potential compatibility issues with other mods that alter the intro or origin scenes.
- Since it's a scripted sequence, it might conflict with overhaul mods that change the starting area.
For Dragon Age: Origins players who love modding their character's appearance and want that to carry into the intro cutscene. It's perfect for roleplayers who want a seamless experience from the start. Skip if you don't play the Human Noble origin or don't care about intro cinematics.
