Community Contest 6 - Mage Leather Helm

This leather helmet is for the mage who prefers to be discreet. At first glance it is merely an ordinary leather helm, only on careful examination are the lyrium infused runes visible. For effective discretion this should be combined with mage's leathers and a mage's club.

This is an entry for the retexture section of Community Contest 6 - a retexture of a leather helmet to add engraved/reflective runes and a mage's eye symbol. Properties have been added to the helm to restrict it to mages and to give mental resistance.

The . 7z contains the dadbdata for the helm, along with the variation gda, and the material/texture info. V1. 01 removes the racial restriction, so any mage can wear the helm.

Any apostate mage who wants to remain free for long (and doesn't fancy spending the rest of their life in the Korcari Wilds) needs to break the habit of wearing distinctive flowing robes with a daft-looking hood and a dirty great staff poking above their head. This helm is a part of a set of items to provide magical benefits whilst looking, to a casual glance, like ordinary gear.

In an ideal world this helm would be released as part of a complete set: mage leathers, mage helm and mage club. Sadly this never happened.

Update 2015/03/19: I have added an optional file to allow a reasonably knowledgeable user to get access to the helm without having to use the Toolset, via the console. Download the archive 'Mage Helm by Console' and unpack it into your override folder. Then start DA:O with console enabled (instructions are around here somewhere, I think, otherwise try Google) and enter the console command: runscript bp_add_helm to add the the mage helm to your inventory.
