📋 About This Mod
Firstly, a huge thank you to user Espadara for discovering that this cutscene even exists. (Also, I took my mod page image from their mod page. So thank you for that as well.)
Espadara has already uploaded a temporary "fix" which will let you see the cutscene. However, my mod is different from theirs in that while Espadara has simply renamed the Golem cutscene file to the Dwarf cutscene so that the golem cutscene is played no matter what your choices in the game were, my mod attempts to properly fix the bug by actually editing the script that deals with the army march cutscene.
That brings me to my second acknowledgement: A big thanks to everyone's favorite vanquisher of bugs, Qwinn. You see, the method to fix this bug isn't something I came up with. I simply read Qwinn's comment on their QUDAO Fixpack mod page, where they nicely explained how they were going to fix the bug. I simply opened my toolset, searched for the script, and followed their method. As such, Qwinn is going to include this fix in their next update. But we don't know when that update is going to be released so I felt like I should upload my own fix now. Obviously, this mod is going to become redundant when Qwinn releases the next update for their fixpack.
Installation instructions:

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved fix with 312 endorsements and over 16k downloads.
- Directly addresses a specific, annoying bug that breaks immersion.
- Simple and focused—does exactly what it says without extra bloat.
⚠️ Cons
- Only fixes one specific bug; if you don't use golems, this mod is useless.
- Last updated in 2020, so it may not be compatible with newer patches or mods.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter the same cutscene or army logic.
For Dragon Age: Origins players who recruit golems and want the full cinematic experience during the final march. If you never use golems, you can skip this—it's a niche fix for a specific moment.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have golems in your party or army before the Denerim battle to see the fix in action.
- If you use other mods that alter cutscenes, install this one after them to avoid overwriting changes.
- This mod is for the base game; check if you need the Awakening expansion for golems to be available.
