Another Black Sten

WHAT IT IS This is yet another morph of Sten, the martial, no sappy nonsense, Qunari squad leader. What bothered me about Sten wasn\'t as much that he was ugly, as that he looked like a derelict old wreck. I\'d picture him more like shaking a cane at kids on his lawn than swinging a two handed sword to guard my back. Plus I think his way of seeing the world in black and white seems more fit for a cocky young warrior than some old guy turned to philosophy and regrets. Either way, I wanted something more like a medieval equivalent of the stereotypical marines sergeant. I suppose it also helps if you want to romance him, but being a guy myself I can\'t really judge that. Any feedback from the women as to whether he looks better as a prospective love interest is welcome. I also made him dark skinned because, well, it was getting strange running around with an all nordic aryan kind of party, and Sten was already darker skinned. Seemed like a good choice. I picked the darkest I could from the standard tints that still looked human, but skin seems to have a bit too much gloss IMHO, so in high contrast lighting he may look more like hispanic rather than black. Short of doing my own textures and tints, I\'m affraid this is the best I can do. This mod was somewhat inspired by the afro-american Sten mod, but this one actually uses the Qunari skull, although not the grey skin tone. I.e., he still is Qunari. One final note: It was not my intention to fit any lore, nor match the trailer looks. It\'s just my very own idea of what kind of actor I\'d cast in Sten\'s role. If it doesn\'t fit your views, well, you can always get another one, or do your own morph, or tweak this one. Just load the included .mrh source file, tweak to your heart\'s content, use the export command, there you go. It\'s really easy. WHERE TO GET IT There is no item to get. Just install the morph as below, and the next time you start the game, Sten will have the new look. HOW TO INSTALL IT Go to your Dragon Age folder. Either the one where you installed it, or the one in My Documents will do just as fine. Now go into the packages\\core\\override sub-folder. Unpack the archive there. If you\'re into that kind of details, you actually only need the .mor file. The readme is just for your info, and the .mrh file is the source text, in case you want to have a look at the parameters I\'ve used. HOW TO UNINSTALL IT Just delete it from your override folder. Sten will then revert to his vanilla looks. COMPATIBILITY It ONLY changes Sten\'s looks and nothing else. Not his dialogs, not his behaviour, not his scripts, not his body type, nothing else. You\'ve probably figured out what that means, but just for the sake of saying it clearly: it will conflict with any other face morph of Sten, since he only has one face.
